Darrell L. Jackson is the founder and President of Pynergy Petroleum Company, LLC, a Colorado-based fuel and lubricant distributor serving retail, commercial, industrial, transportation, construction, and government customers.
Jackson founded Pynergy in 1999, raising capital to acquire three retail gasoline stations. He subsequently expanded the company into an integrated petroleum marketer with retail operations, bulk storage, warehousing, and wholesale distribution, employing more than 40 individuals. He has directed virtually every aspect of the business, including strategic planning, finance and accounting, supplier negotiations, operations, human resources, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and business development.
Today, Pynergy supplies gasoline, clear and dyed diesel fuel, lubricants, greases, and diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) from its Commerce City bulk plant. The company provides transport and tank-wagon fuel delivery, along with packaged and bulk lubricants, to commercial and industrial customers.
Jackson's entrepreneurial activities extend beyond petroleum distribution. He is also a co-founder of Staffrock Developments, a Denver real estate development company focused on creating housing and development opportunities in underserved communities. Staffrock's activities include a 10-unit townhome development in Denver's Westwood neighborhood.
Before founding Pynergy, Jackson served as a Senior Economic Development Specialist with the Denver Mayor's Office of Economic Development, where he managed business-development programs and structured financing for complex real estate and small-business transactions involving multiple funding sources. He also assisted numerous businesses with financing, helping advance projects designed to create jobs and stimulate investment in Denver communities.
Earlier in his career, Jackson owned Capital Asset Services, where he negotiated real estate transactions and assisted clients with financing. He also worked as a real estate appraiser, valuing residential properties for mortgage lenders.
